The successful candidate will take on the strategic leadership and management of the MFL department in continuing to raise achievement and attainment across the school. We are looking for a dynamic, committed and inspirational leader to ensure continued success.
In Year 7 all students currently study one language (Spanish, French or Bengali) up to Year 11 following the AQA GCSE syllabus. We also teach Spanish in one of our local primary schools and offer French and Spanish at A level. The Department runs a trip to Spain and is involved in Erasmus+ projects with partners in France, Italy and Greece. We also teach Korean in after school provision and are involved in a range of enrichment activities including work with the British Film Institute.
As Head of Department you would be supported by a Head of Spanish and a Second in Department.
