Subject Transition Work: Guidelines

What do I need to do?

You will have selected your subjects for next year. These are the subjects whose transition work you should complete. You need to download the work for each subject, and complete it either electronically or on paper. You will then need to bring this work to school when you start Year 12 in September.

How will I prove that I have done the work?

  • You will need to fill out a Google Form by the 10th July, telling us what you have learnt. We will send you this Google Form at the beginning of July.
  • You will also need to bring your work to school when you start Year 12 in September.

What do I do if I get stuck?

All the work has been designed to be as straightforward as possible. Make sure you have watched the pre-recorded video that we have provided, and read the instructions carefully. If you are still stuck, uou can email us at sixthform-info@sjcr.net, and we will then forward your email to the Head of Department.

Why do I need to do this work?

Firstly, starting Year 12 is always challenging for students. The work we have prepared for you will help you start on the best possible footing, so that you can make the best progress possible. By doing this work, our students ensure that they get some of the best results possible.

Secondly, this work will help you work out that the A Levels or BTEC that you have selected are the right course for you.
