Statement regarding school name change

Dear Parents,

We are delighted to inform you that, following consultation with students, staff, governors, parents and the community, the Governing body of our school has decided that our new name will be Stepney All Saints CofE Secondary School.

Work is under way to design a reflective school logo and update all relevant resources, equipment and uniform. The new logo will be published in due course, following consultation with our students.

New Year 7 students will receive their year coloured tie on induction day; further information regarding induction dates will be sent next week. As mentioned previously we will ensure that parents do not incur any additional costs as a result of the name change. Once the new logo has been finalised and produced we will provide patches to cover the old logos on blazers and will swap any SJCR branded uniform items.

Following the name change we will continue to develop our work around the curriculum to ensure that it is inclusive, progressive and prepares students for the modern world in which they live. The school aims to ensure the curriculum gives each and every student a rich, authentic and unbiased experience of the world we live in and their place in it as equal global citizens. Details of how we will do this can be viewed on our school website – https://www.stepneyallsaints.school/our-school/curriculum-information/curriculum-statement/

We are proud of our school community and will always commit to fighting for a positive change, and appreciate your continued patience as we work hard to get Stepney All Saints School ready for September.

Yours sincerely,

Paul Woods (Headteacher) and Angela Hancock (Chair of Governors)
