Qualifications to start the course
Basic entry requirements for all A-Level subjects are a minimum of 8 GCSEs at grade 6 (with Grade 5 or above in GCSE English Language, GCSE Mathematics and GCSE Science). Students should also have a grade 6 or above in GCSE PE.

Sport and society
Sport and society and the role of technology in physical activity and sport
2 written exam papers
– 2 hours each
– Worth 35% of marks each
Students are then assessed as a performer or coach in the full sided version of one activity.
Written/verbal analysis of performance.
Internal assessment, external moderation
– Worth 30% of the marks
