SJCR Physical Education Department - Vision Statement

Our vision is to ensure that each and every student at Sir John Cass enjoys the experience of high quality and inclusive Physical Education. We aim to make our students fully aware of the power and impact physical activity can have on physical, emotional and mental well-being. We are committed to ensuring that our students understand and can make positive choices about the importance of lifelong participation and fitness.

Through the teaching of unique skills such as leadership, teamwork, problem solving, creative thinking and lifesaving we will promote life skills which will support their development regardless of pathways chosen and support them in making a positive contribution to their local and wider community.

We recognise the individual needs of our students and celebrate the cultural differences we are privileged to work with, and want every single student to experience success through a broad and balanced curriculum.

We encourage all of our students to take part in a rich variety and range of clubs and classes provided and will guide and support any exceptional talent onto the next stages of their development.
